FullDip Liquid Vinyl - Solid Colors
9,68 € Tax incl.
FullDip Liquid Vinyl in solid colours is a flexible vinyl spray designed to cover and colour elastic surfaces such as EVA Foam, plastics and cosplay materials without the need for a primer. Its formula delivers a matte opaque finish with excellent coverage, high UV resistance and full elasticity: the cured film bends and stretches without cracking.

What it's used for
This vinyl spray is designed for anyone who needs a solid, opaque and durable colour on flexible or rigid materials. Its liquid vinyl formulation makes it the go-to choice in cosplay workshops, theatrical make-up and crafts where EVA Foam is the main substrate, though it also works on ABS plastics, polystyrene and previously painted surfaces.
- Painting armour, helmets and EVA Foam accessories for cosplay
- Colouring costumes and props for theatre or film
- Finishing and customising decorative figures and crafts
- Coating flexible foam pieces for exhibitions or events
- Retouching and evening out colour on pieces moulded from soft materials
- Decorating plastic, wood or cardboard objects where elasticity is required
How to use it
- Clean the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust, grease and any release agent residue. Allow to dry completely.
- Shake the can vigorously for at least 2 minutes before starting. Repeat shaking every time you take a break.
- Make sure the ambient temperature is between 5 °C and 35 °C. Avoid applying under intense direct sunlight or in high-humidity conditions.
- Place the piece on a protected surface and hold it approximately 20–30 cm from the can. Activate the cross-spray nozzle by orienting the spray in a crossing motion for even coverage.
- Apply the first thin, even coat with continuous movements. Do not stop in one spot to avoid build-up.
- Wait 10 minutes before applying the next coat. Repeat the process a minimum of 4 times.
- Allow to dry for 24 hours before handling the piece intensively or subjecting it to repeated bending.
Tips for best results
Thin coats, always
The temptation to cover in a single generous pass usually ends in runs and bubbles. Four thin dry coats provide better coverage, greater uniformity and a more durable film than two thick coats. The 10-minute interval between coats is a guideline under normal conditions; in cold or humid environments it may need a little longer.
Temperature and humidity: critical factors
Below 5 °C the vinyl does not adhere properly and the coat may peel off. Above 35 °C the solvent evaporates too quickly and the finish turns grainy. If you are working outdoors in summer, find shade. High humidity (>70%) can cause a whitish haze on the film; in that case, wait for drier conditions or work indoors with ventilation.
Primer on very porous or very smooth surfaces
EVA Foam does not need a primer with FullDip, but particularly smooth surfaces (polished plastic, metal) or very porous ones (untreated cardboard) benefit from a prior coat of spray primer to improve adhesion and reduce the number of vinyl coats needed. Allow the primer to cure before applying FullDip.
Frequently asked questions
Can it be applied to EVA Foam without a primer?
Yes. FullDip Liquid Vinyl in solid colours is formulated to bond directly to EVA Foam without any prior coat. The surface simply needs to be clean and dry. On very smooth or non-porous surfaces, a spray primer is recommended to improve adhesion.
How many coats are needed for full coverage?
The recommended minimum is 4 thin coats, leaving 10 minutes of drying time between each one. On very light colours over dark surfaces, an extra coat or two may be needed. The key is not to try to cover in one go: thin coats guarantee a better final result.
Does the paint crack when the material bends?
No. The vinyl nature of FullDip gives it an elasticity that allows bending and deformation without the paint film cracking or peeling. This is precisely why it is used in cosplay and costumes, where foam pieces are subject to constant movement.
Can it be thinned for use with an airbrush?
FullDip Liquid Vinyl in spray format is optimised for direct application from the aerosol can. It is not designed for thinning and use in a conventional airbrush. If you need airbrush application on flexible surfaces, contact the Feroca team to find out which flexible paint alternative best suits your project.
Is it water resistant once dry?
Yes. Once the curing process is complete (24 hours full drying time), the FullDip film is water resistant. However, it is not formulated for continuous immersion or for surfaces in permanent contact with water.
What happens if I apply it outside the recommended temperature range?
Below 5 °C the vinyl does not adhere properly and the coat may peel off during curing. Above 35 °C the solvent evaporates too quickly, resulting in an uneven or grainy finish. Always work within the 5 °C to 35 °C range to ensure optimal results.
Can it be applied over already painted surfaces?
Yes, as long as the previous paint is completely dry, clean and well bonded to the piece. If the existing coat is flaking or unstable, the FullDip will not adhere properly either. If in doubt, lightly sand and clean before applying.
Are there other FullDip variants besides solid colours?
Yes. Feroca distributes the full FullDip Liquid Vinyl range: Military finishes, Metallic, Chameleon, Candy and Gloss & Specials. Each range offers different visual effects on the same flexible vinyl base.
