FullDip Liquid Vinyl - Metallic
9,68 € Tax incl.
FullDip Liquid Vinyl Metalizados is a liquid vinyl spray formulated to provide durable metallic finishes on flexible surfaces such as EVA foam, plastics and other substrates. Its elastic formula prevents cracking and flaking, and its high UV resistance keeps the colour intact over time. Ideal for cosplay, special effects, crafts and professional decoration.

What it is used for
FullDip Liquid Vinyl Metalizados is designed to deliver bright, durable metallic finishes on flexible or rigid parts without the need for additional primer. It is the most widely used option in the workshop for:
- Painting armours, helmets and cosplay accessories made from EVA foam
- Metallic finishes on props and pieces for special effects and theatre
- Decorating figures, sculptures and models with a metal effect
- Customising plastic, wood or cardboard surfaces with a metallic finish
- Crafts and modelling projects where flexibility and coverage are required
- Prototypes and prop pieces that require UV and water resistance
How to use it
- Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of grease or dust.
- Shake the can vigorously for at least 2 minutes before use.
- Check that the ambient temperature is between 5 °C and 35 °C and that humidity is not excessive.
- Place the piece horizontally or secure it to prevent runs.
- Apply the first thin, even coat keeping the spray approximately 20–25 cm from the surface, using continuous movements.
- Wait a minimum of 10 minutes between each coat until the surface loses its wet sheen.
- Repeat the process applying a minimum of 4 coats to ensure full coverage, uniform metallic finish and resistance.
- Leave to dry in a ventilated area for 24 hours before handling or assembling the piece.
Usage tips
Application distance and angle
The cross-spray nozzle of FullDip Metalizados is optimised to deliver thin, even coats. Keep the can perpendicular to the surface and do not get closer than 20 cm: spraying too close will cause product build-up and runs that ruin the metallic effect. If you see drips, you have applied too much in a single pass.
Number of coats and final finish
The metallic finish develops progressively with each coat. With 2 coats you get basic coverage, but the real metallic effect and mechanical resistance are achieved from the fourth coat onwards. If you are looking for greater colour depth or a more intense reflection, you can go up to 6 thin coats. Each additional coat improves both appearance and durability. For high-friction areas (armour joints, grip zones), apply an extra coat.
Compatibility with EVA foam and other substrates
FullDip Metalizados does not require primer on EVA foam. However, if you are working on very porous or uneven surfaces, a prior pass with a spray primer will seal the pores and improve adhesion, reducing the number of FullDip coats needed for uniform coverage. On metallic or very smooth surfaces, clean thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol before applying.
Frequently asked questions
How many coats should be applied for a good metallic finish?
A minimum of 4 thin coats is recommended. With fewer coats the metallic finish is uneven and mechanical resistance is lower. For pieces subject to friction or heavy use, apply between 5 and 6 coats leaving 10 minutes between each one.
Do I need primer before applying this spray on EVA foam?
It is not essential. FullDip Liquid Vinyl Metalizados adheres directly to EVA foam without the need for primer. If the surface is very porous or you want to reduce the number of coats required, a specific primer will improve the result.
Can it be applied on rigid surfaces or only on flexible materials?
FullDip Metalizados is compatible with both flexible surfaces (EVA foam, soft plastics) and rigid ones (wood, cardboard, rigid plastics, resins). The advantage on flexible materials is that it does not crack with movement, which is something that does occur with conventional enamels or paints.
How long should you wait between coats?
The minimum time between coats is 10 minutes under normal conditions (temperature between 5 °C and 35 °C). In cold or humid environments, wait until the previous coat has completely lost its wet appearance before applying the next one.
How long does it take to dry completely?
Touch-dry time occurs within a few minutes between coats, but full cure is 24 hours. Do not expose the piece to mechanical stress, water or intense UV before that time has elapsed.
What is the difference between the Metalizados range and FullDip Solid Colours?
The Metalizados range incorporates metallic pigments that create a reflection and depth effect characteristic of metallic surfaces. The Solid Colours offer opaque, uniform colours with no metallic effect. Both ranges share the same flexible vinyl base and UV resistance.
Is it water and weather resistant?
Yes. FullDip Liquid Vinyl Metalizados is water resistant and features high UV resistance, making it suitable for outdoor pieces or those exposed to variable conditions. For prolonged outdoor use, make sure you have applied the minimum recommended number of coats.
Can it be used in an airbrush or spray gun instead of aerosol?
The product is formulated as a ready-to-use aerosol. It is not designed to be thinned and applied with an airbrush or spray gun. If you need a finish with greater control using an airbrush, refer to the acrylic paints in the range specifically designed for that technique.
