The Titanic Pro-FX Brush 115 is a round double fiber stipple brush with standard bristle length. What it is used for
The standard bristle length gives the 115 a versatility that makes it the first stipple that many FX artists add to their kit. Its organic pattern works for both dense textures and soft blends, and its round shape makes it useful on curvatures of the face and body.

How to use it
- Load the brush with product and remove the excess on the palette.
- Apply with vertical pressure on the surface following the curves of the face or prosthesis.
- To blend edges, use the brush with very little load and minimal pressure in short circular movements.
- Superimpose thin layers to deepen the effect without saturating the surface.
- Clean with soap and water after using with latex or with an appropriate solvent after FX paints.

Use the 115 as the main model for medium areas and complement it with the 114 for large areas and the 113 for fine details. All three belong to close families and their textures integrate well.
Frequently asked questions
What type of texture pattern does 115 generate?
Being duo-fibre (two bristle lengths), the dot pattern is irregular and varied, similar to the real texture of the skin. Unlike single fiber stipple, the pattern is not obviously repeated, which makes the effect more convincing in close-up.
Can I use it directly on the skin without prosthetics for aging effects?
Yes. It is one of its most common applications: latex or paint is applied directly to the actor's skin with the stipple technique to simulate wrinkles, imperfections or age changes. The synthetic bristles are soft and do not irritate the skin in normal use.
Is 115 suitable for working with a manual airbrush (brush as a template)?
The 115 is not commonly used as an airbrush stencil, but it can be used to apply airbrush paints manually with the stipple technique, which gives an intermediate effect between airbrush and brush that some artists prefer for smooth transitions.
