Specific solvent for removing cyanoacrylate adhesive residues and separating bonded joints. 20 g bottle.

Limpiaciano is the specific solvent for cyanoacrylate adhesives. It removes instant glue residues from tools, surfaces and dispensing equipment, and facilitates the separation of accidentally bonded parts without damaging the substrate.

What it is used for

Limpiaciano covers three common situations when working with cyanoacrylate in a workshop or industrial environment. Its specific formulation acts on the cured polymer without the need to scrape or apply excessive force to the affected parts or surfaces. It is especially suitable for:

  • Separating joints and seals accidentally bonded with cyanoacrylate
  • Cleaning nozzles, dispensing needles and tools with cured adhesive residues
  • Maintenance of dispensing equipment and distribution heads
  • Removing cyanoacrylate stains from work surfaces

How to use it

  1. Apply the solvent: deposit a small amount of Limpiaciano directly onto the adhesive residue or the joint to be separated.
  2. Allow to act: wait 15-30 seconds for the solvent to penetrate the cured cyanoacrylate and begin to soften it.
  3. Separate or remove residues: carefully separate the parts using gentle leverage, or remove the residues with a cloth or plastic spatula.
  4. Repeat if necessary: for heavily cured residues, repeat the application until the adhesive is completely dissolved.
  5. Protection during use: always work in a ventilated area and wear chemical protection gloves throughout the process.
Warning: contains organic solvents. Use in well-ventilated areas. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Keep away from flames and heat sources. Keep out of reach of children.

Usage tips

Match the applicator format to the task

Limpiaciano comes in several formats: needle, brush and spray. For clogged nozzles or hard-to-reach areas, the needle format allows you to deposit the solvent with millimetre precision without wetting adjacent areas. The brush format is ideal for flat surfaces or joints of some extent, as it distributes the product evenly. The spray is useful for broader cleaning of tools or work surfaces. Choosing the right format saves product and reduces the risk of damaging sensitive materials near the application area.

Acting time according to the degree of cure

Not all cured cyanoacrylate requires the same solvent exposure time. Fresh residues (cured for less than 24 hours) soften in 10-30 seconds and can be removed with a cloth with minimal effort. Fully cured cyanoacrylate (more than 24 hours) requires longer cycles: apply the product, allow to act for 1 to 5 minutes and repeat if necessary. Forcing separation before the solvent has acted sufficiently can damage the substrate or leave embedded residues that are harder to remove afterwards.

Precautions with sensitive materials

Limpiaciano is effective on metals, glass and many technical plastics, but can attack soft plastics (such as unfilled ABS, polystyrene or acrylics), solvent-based paints and some delicate surface finishes. Before applying to a visible area, always perform a test on a hidden area or a offcut of the same material. If the substrate shows colour change, softening or loss of gloss after the test, avoid direct use and consult the Feroca technical team about mechanical removal alternatives.

Frequently asked questions

Can Limpiaciano damage the surface where it is applied?

It can affect soft plastics or delicate paints. Always perform a test on a non-visible area before applying to the main area. On metals, glass and high-density technical plastics the behaviour is usually correct, but a prior test is essential to avoid irreversible damage to visible surfaces.

How long does it need to act on cured cyanoacrylate?

For fresh residues (less than 24 hours), 10-30 seconds is usually enough. For fully cured cyanoacrylate it may be necessary to repeat the application two or three times, allowing it to act for 1 to 5 minutes in each cycle. Do not force mechanical separation before the solvent has sufficiently softened the adhesive.

Is it compatible with Ciano Gel, Ciano Black and Ciano Flexible?

Yes. Limpiaciano is formulated to dissolve any cyanoacrylate family adhesive, regardless of viscosity or colour. It works equally on standard grades, gels, black and flexible or semi-flexible formulations.

Can it be used on clogged dispensing nozzles?

Yes. This is one of its most common uses in industrial environments. Immerse the nozzle in Limpiaciano for a few minutes to dissolve the cured cyanoacrylate plug. For deep blockages, it may be necessary to repeat the cycle or combine immersion with gentle mechanical cleaning using fine wire once the residue has softened.
