Transparent epoxy resin is one of the most versatile materials in the Feroca catalog. With it you can make laminates, castings, encapsulations and decorations with crystal-clear, highly durable finishes. In this article we introduce the two ClearWater versions available for transparent casting.

ClearWater Epoxi and ClearWater Epoxi Super Fast

Feroca offers two transparent casting epoxy resins for different needs:

  • ClearWater Epoxi — standard version, ideal for jewelry, encapsulations and low-thickness pieces. Wide working time and high optical clarity finish.
  • ClearWater Epoxi Super Fast — fast version for when you need to shorten curing times without sacrificing transparency.

Working and curing times

Times depend on ambient temperature. The ideal range is between 20 °C and 24 °C. Below 18 °C curing slows down; above 28 °C working time is reduced and exotherms can occur in thick castings.

Main applications

  • Jewelry and costume jewelry: pendants, earrings, bracelets, beads
  • Encapsulations: flowers, objects, photographs, decorative elements
  • Resin art and crafts: paintings, trays, frames
  • Doming and high-gloss surface finishes
  • River tables in thin layers (for high-thickness castings, see ClearWater Deep Pour)

Technical properties

  • High transparency and optical clarity after curing
  • Chemical and mechanical resistance
  • Compatible with pigments, glitters and decorative fillers
  • Good adhesion to wood, metal, ceramics and plastics
  • Solvent-free, low volatile emissions

Usage tips

  • Always mix in the exact ratio indicated in the technical data sheet (by weight, not by volume).
  • Stir slowly for at least 3 minutes to properly combine the components without introducing bubbles.
  • Pass a torch or heat gun at a low distance to remove surface bubbles before curing.
  • Work in a clean space: any dust particle will be visible in the transparent resin.
  • For castings over 1 cm thick, use ClearWater Deep Pour, designed for high-thickness pours without generating excessive heat.
