Topical antiperspirant spray for use under silicone prosthetics and special effects pieces. Reduces sweating and improves adhesion. 60 ml.

DRY is a topical antiperspirant spray formulated specifically to minimise perspiration under silicone prosthetics, foam latex pieces and any special effects prosthetic application. It is applied directly to the skin before makeup, creating a dry base that improves adhesion and extends the longevity of the work.

What it is used for

DRY is designed for professional work in special effects, film, television and theatre, where perspiration can compromise prosthetic adhesion or ruin an elaborate makeup. Its most common applications are:

  • Reducing sweating under silicone or foam latex facial prosthetics
  • Preparing the skin before applying prosthetic adhesives to improve grip
  • Drying the scalp before placing a bald cap, also making it easier to lay down natural hair underneath
  • Extending the wear of makeups in conditions of heat or physical exertion
  • Preparing neck and face areas during long shooting or performance sessions

How to use it

  1. Clean and thoroughly dry the area of skin where the prosthetic or makeup is to be applied.
  2. Shake the can and apply DRY spray at a distance of approximately 15–20 cm from the skin.
  3. Allow to dry completely. You can speed up the process with a hairdryer on medium heat.
  4. Once the skin is dry to the touch, proceed to apply the prosthetic adhesive or makeup as normal.
  5. Repeat the application in successive sessions if needed: the antiperspirant effect improves with each use.

Tips for use

Drying time and hairdryer

Natural drying time may vary depending on ambient temperature and skin type. On set, use a hairdryer on low or medium power to speed up the process without irritating the actor's skin. Avoid directing hot air directly onto very sensitive areas such as eyelids or lips.

Progressive improvement with repeated applications

DRY does not act only as a one-off barrier: its antiperspirant effect builds up with each application. In multi-day productions or extended sessions, apply it systematically from the outset to achieve maximum performance.

Removal and clean-up

DRY is easily removed with Telesis Top Guard or with skin-safe solvents. It leaves no difficult residues and does not interfere with subsequent prosthetic clean-up steps.

Frequently asked questions

What is an antiperspirant spray used for in special effects makeup?

Perspiration is one of the main enemies of adhesive prosthetics: it can dissolve the adhesive, lift edges and ruin the finish. DRY acts as a barrier on the skin before applying any prosthetic piece, reducing moisture and improving adhesion throughout the session.

Can it be used all over the face?

Yes. DRY can be applied from the neck to the face. Avoid direct contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. It is suitable for the forehead, temples, cheeks and scalp.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

DRY is formulated for topical use in professional special effects environments. If there are any concerns about very sensitive skin or dermatological conditions, always carry out a patch test on a small area before full application.

How long does it take to dry?

Drying time depends on the temperature and ventilation of the environment. Under normal set conditions, you can speed up the process with a hairdryer on medium heat, reducing the time to under a minute.

How is the product removed from the skin?

DRY is easily removed with skin-safe solvents, such as Telesis Top Guard. It does not require any special clean-up and leaves no persistent residues.

Can it be used under a bald cap?

Yes, this is one of its most common uses. DRY dries the scalp and makes it easier to lay down natural hair beneath the bald cap, while also reducing perspiration during wear.

Does the effect improve over time?

Yes. The antiperspirant effect of DRY builds up with each application. In multi-day productions or repeated sessions, its efficacy increases progressively.

Can it be combined with other skin protection products?

DRY is compatible with other products in the SFX skin protection range. It can be used alongside Telesis Brisk in workflows that require both perspiration control and additional sealing or protection.
