The SAMAS MUA 02 is a professional FX makeup trolley designed for makeup artists and hairdressers working on set, film shoots and theatrical productions. Handmade in Italy from water-resistant 1000 denier Cordura® with a rigid internal frame, it combines maximum equipment protection with total organisation thanks to its multiple compartments and removable pockets.

How to use it
- Open the trolley and adjust the internal dividers with VELCRO® according to the size of your tools and containers.
- Sort products by category or by actor using the 3 removable transparent pockets — so you can locate each product at a glance.
- Use the 2 removable opaque pockets for materials that do not need immediate visual identification or for items you need to take with you to the set.
- Place the bulkiest or most fragile items in the main body of the trolley, protected by the rigid frame.
- Close the trolley using the water-resistant closure to ensure the contents are protected during transit.
- For transport, use the trolley insert when moving across flat surfaces, or the padded shoulder strap when you need greater mobility on set.
- When you arrive at your workstation, remove the pockets you need and place them wherever is most convenient, without having to move the entire trolley.
Usage tips
Organisation by actor or by work phase
Make the most of the removable transparent pockets to create an individual kit per actor or per shooting sequence. Label them with paper tape on the outside to identify them without opening them. In productions with several makeup artists, each technician can take their own removable pocket without needing to rummage through the entire trolley.
Maintenance of the Cordura® and closures
Clean the exterior with a slightly soapy damp cloth and allow to air dry. Avoid submerging it in water even though the material is water-resistant. Periodically check the closures and apply a dry lubricant to the zips to extend their lifespan, especially if you work in environments with dust or special effects such as fog or smoke.
Efficient transport between locations

What is the difference between the large and small size?
The main difference lies in the interior length: the large size offers 42 cm compared to 34 cm for the small, which translates into more space for long brushes, larger-format containers and bulky tools. Externally, the large measures 60 cm in length compared to 50 cm for the small. The height and width are identical in both versions (32 x 26 cm interior / 36 x 38 cm exterior), so the removable pockets are interchangeable between both sizes.
Can I check this trolley as carry-on luggage on a plane?
The small size of the MUA 02 (50 x 36 x 38 cm exterior) exceeds the standard carry-on dimensions of most low-cost airlines, so you will generally need to check it in. The robustness of the Cordura® 1000D and the rigid frame protect it well as checked baggage. Always check the specific limits of your airline before travelling.
Can the removable pockets be washed separately?
Yes. Being removable, you can clean the transparent and opaque pockets independently with a damp cloth or, in the case of makeup or FX product stains, with soapy water and a soft brush. Machine washing is not recommended, as the heat can affect the seams and VELCRO® systems.
Is the MUA 02 compatible with standard luggage carts?

Can I use it to transport special effects materials or resins?

How much weight can it hold without being damaged?
