Each product has a different mixing ratio, curing time and final rigidity that makes it the most suitable for a specific task. ClearWater Epoxy — jewellery and art
ClearWater Epoxy is the general-purpose resin of the range: transparent, self-levelling and with high UV yellowing resistance. 1:1 mix by weight, 30 minutes working time and full cure in 8-10 hours.
It's the go-to option for resin jewellery (pendants, earrings, rings with flowers, insects or encapsulated objects), liquid art (fluid art technique, alcohol ink, cells), coatings for paintings and photographs, and any thin casting where you need plenty of working time to work at your own pace. Its self-levelling finish eliminates brush marks and leaves a mirror-like surface.
ClearWater Deep Pour — river tables and encapsulation
ClearWater Deep Pour Epoxy is formulated for large-depth castings: up to 12 cm in a single pour without cracks or cloudy areas. 100A:30B mix by weight, full cure in 48-72 hours.
It's the specific product for river tables (river tables with wood and resin), encapsulating bulky objects (dried flowers, leaves, stones, figures), and any piece where total transparency is needed in large volumes. Unlike standard resins, its low-exotherm formulation prevents the mass from overheating and cracking during curing.
ClearWater Super Fast — cures in 1-2 hours
ClearWater Epoxy Super Fast cures in 1-2 hours, making it ideal when you need to work quickly or apply multiple layers in the same day. 1:1 mix, final rigidity 80D, castings up to 2 mm thick.
It's used for production-run jewellery where you can't wait 8-10 hours between pieces, for thin coatings on wood or paper that are needed the next day, and for quick liquid art when the workflow is straightforward and you don't need the working time of the standard version. It's not suitable for thick castings: as it cures faster it generates more heat, which in thick layers can cause cracking.
ClearWater Flexible Doming — soft resin dome
ClearWater Epoxy Flexible Doming is a low-viscosity resin designed to create the "resin dome" effect on flat surfaces. 100A:30B mix, Shore A60 (flexible to the touch), transparent and with UV anti-yellowing protection. Cures in 24 hours.
Its main use is on magnets, keyrings, pins and custom badges where the resin forms a convex dome over the printed image. It's also used to protect decorated surfaces on soft materials such as fabric or leather, where a rigid resin would crack when bent. Being flexible, it absorbs small impacts without cracking.
ClearWater Rigid Doming — hard resin dome
ClearWater Epoxy Rigid Doming does the same as the Flexible but with a hard finish: Shore 80D, 100A:30B mix, 15 minutes working time, cures in 24 hours.
It's chosen over the Flexible when the final piece won't bend and greater scratch resistance is needed: logos and corporate labels, badges and decorative plaques, bookmarks, rigid keyrings and any application where a hard crystal-clear finish is the top priority. With only 15 minutes of working time, you need to dose and apply quickly.
ClearWater UV Resin Adhesive — UV light curing
ClearWater UV Resin Adhesive is completely different from the rest of the range: it's single-component (no A+B mixing), cures in seconds under UV light and comes in a 50 g container with a UV torch included.
It's used to bond jewellery components (rhinestones, cabochons, metal elements) with millimetre precision before curing, for small fills and touch-ups where you need to control exactly when it hardens, and for thin coatings on small pieces where waiting hours is not practical. Since it only cures when exposed to UV light, you can reposition and correct before activating it.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use the standard ClearWater Epoxy for a river table?
It's not the right option. For layers over 5-6 mm, a standard resin generates too much heat during curing (exothermic reaction) and can crack or turn cloudy. For river tables and large-volume encapsulations you need to use ClearWater Deep Pour Epoxy, specifically formulated for low exotherm in thick layers of up to 12 cm.
What's the difference between Flexible Doming and Rigid Doming?
Both create the convex dome effect on flat surfaces, but the Flexible (Shore A60) stays soft and elastic to the touch, ideal for surfaces that bend or for absorbing impacts. The Rigid (Shore 80D) sets completely hard and scratch-resistant, better for pieces that will always be rigid and where a hard crystal-clear finish is what matters most.
Can the UV resin be used for jewellery like the others?
For small pieces and thin layers, yes. The advantage of UV Resin Adhesive is that it cures in seconds and lets you reposition elements before activating the light. The limitation is that it only cures where the UV light reaches, so it's not suitable for pieces with hidden areas or for encapsulating opaque objects. For those cases, the standard ClearWater Epoxy is a better choice.
Can all ClearWater resins be pigmented?
Yes. All ClearWater epoxy resins accept pigments compatible with epoxy resin: powder pigments, alcohol inks, liquid pigments and glitters. They are added to component A before mixing with B. To maintain full transparency, use a very small amount; for opaque or pearlescent effects the dose can be increased.
Why has my resin turned yellow?
Yellowing in epoxy resins has two main causes: prolonged exposure to direct sunlight (UV rays) and curing at too high a temperature. All ClearWater resins have UV anti-yellowing protection, but no epoxy resin is completely immune to long-term degradation if continuously exposed to direct sunlight. For decorative pieces kept indoors or under artificial lighting, yellowing is not a concern with normal use over the years.
How many layers do I need for a river table?
It depends on the total thickness you need. With ClearWater Deep Pour Epoxy you can do up to 12 cm in a single pour. If the final thickness you're after is less than that, a single pour is usually enough. If you need more than 12 cm or want to create layers with objects at different levels, you can do successive pours waiting 24-48 hours between each one so the previous layer is sufficiently cured.
