Every time an object breaks, we immediately think about buying a new one. But at Feroca we have the solution to be more sustainable and give them a second life. With Enviroset you can repair your objects in just 5 minutes. Want to know how? In this article we'll give you all the information about repairing figures made of ceramic as well as other materials.
What is Enviroset

Enviroset is a two-component epoxy adhesive, transparent and designed to provide a fast bond. When mixed in equal proportions — either by volume or by weight — curing takes between 5 and 10 minutes, enough time to allow handling at room temperature. In addition, Enviroset is resistant to water, heat, and chemicals.
This adhesive has a fast cure time for bonding wood, metal, glass, ceramic, most plastics, concrete, graphite…
How to repair figures with Enviroset
Restoring figures is very simple with our product Enviroset. In a matter of seconds, and by following the step-by-step guide from our professionals, you'll have your piece looking as good as new. First, it's essential to gather all the materials we'll be using so that everything is ready and we can carry out our repair as quickly as possible.
The materials we need are:
- Enviroset epoxy adhesive two-component, with a 5-minute cure time.
- Dremel or wet sandpaper to have the surface clean and ready to work on.
- Wooden spatula. For mixing the adhesive and applying it to the surface to be repaired.
- Cup. For mixing the two parts of the Enviroset adhesive.
Step by step

- Before starting, it's necessary to prepare the damaged surface of your piece. Using a Dremel or wet sandpaper, create a texture on both surfaces that will be in contact. This way the adhesive will penetrate into those textures and we'll achieve a stronger bonding power.

- To use the adhesive, pour it onto the bottom of a cup and mix the two components in equal parts with the help of a wooden spatula. Depending on the extent of the break in the piece, you'll need a specific amount. If you have any doubts about this step, contact our Feroca professionals and they'll resolve your questions instantly.

- Once it's well mixed, apply the adhesive to the contact surfaces using the same wooden stick you used for mixing. Join the pieces together and remove any excess residue with a little alcohol.

- Leave it to dry for 5 minutes and your piece will be repaired.

Advantages of using Enviroset adhesive
As we've seen, some materials can only be bonded together with this glue. In general, ordinary adhesives that work by solvent evaporation require one of the surfaces to be bonded to be porous. This way, the moisture in the product is absorbed and curing is facilitated. There are exceptions: silicone, for example. However, if two pieces of glass, porcelain, plastic, or metal are bonded together using universal adhesive, wood glue, etc., the glue has nowhere to escape to and the pieces won't bond.
That's why the Enviroset Adhesivo Epoxy from Feroca is the only one that cures each piece separately, and this product is often the only one that works for bonding non-porous materials together.
