LOW-COST SILICONE
LOW-COST SILICONE is a two-component silicone elastomer (Parts A and B) that cures at room temperature. The base (Part A) has the appearance of a viscous liquid which, after addition of the LOW-COST SILICONE Part B catalyst, transforms into an elastic material. It is noted for its exceptional fluidity and easy handling.
LOW-COST SILICONE Molding Silicone offers excellent value for money. It is our standard silicone and works effectively in any type of mold.
Applications
LOW-COST SILICONE is ideal for the manufacture of molds for casting:
- Plaster
- Polyester Resin
- Polyurethane Resin
- Epoxy resin
- Fiberglass
- Wax
- Soap
- Bronze
Thanks to its low viscosity and softness, it is perfect for molds with complicated hollows and difficult to demold.
Technical Characteristics
- Working time at 25ºC: 25 minutes
- Curing time at 25ºC: 6 hours
- Shore hardness: A25
Instructions
- Prepare the box for the mold and the original.
- Mix 100 parts of base (Part A) with 5 parts of catalyst (LOW-COST SILICONE Part B). Make sure to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
- Pour the silicone into the mold box or apply with a brush if the mixture has been thixotropic previously.
Note: It is recommended to use low hardness silicone for casting molds, as it facilitates demolding and protects the original.
