Series 80 silicone rubbers from TinSil are two-component room temperature cure (RTV) rubbers. The TinSil silicone uses a tin catalyst (condensation) and cures to a soft, medium-hard, flexible rubber. These silicones offer reduced shrinkage during cure and during casting, longer pot life after cure and longer mold life than other tin-cured systems.
Molds made with TinSil rubber have high tear strength, good mold release properties, high temperature resistance, and excellent chemical resistance. These molds are an excellent choice for cast parts in polyester, epoxy, polyurethane, polyurethane foams, gypsum, waxes and many other materials.
Silicone TinSil is very easy to use, and is available in two different hardnesses, the TinSil 80-15 or the TinSil 80-30 whose characteristics you can compare in this table:
|TECHNICAL DATA||TinSil 80-15||TinSil 80-30
