Stoner E313 - (Ultra 4 Epoxy Parfilm)
28,44 € Tax incl.
Stoner E313 is a spray release agent specifically formulated for demolding epoxy resins, polyurethane and fiberglass. Its durable non-stick film allows multiple releases per application and, unlike wax or polyvinyl alcohol, leaves the part ready to paint, plate or decorate without any additional treatment.

What it's used for
Stoner E313 is designed for workshop environments where epoxy resins are used and a clean, fast, residue-free release is needed without compromising the final finish of the part. It is especially useful when the molded part must receive subsequent treatment such as painting or plating.
- Demolding parts made with epoxy resins in fiberglass, PU or epoxy molds
- Release of encapsulated gelatin and silicone applications
- Injection, vacuum and casting molding processes
- Parts that need to be painted, plated or decorated after demolding
- Parts that will receive adhesives, labels or hot stamping
- Combined use with Super-Cap plastic, together with Stoner ME 301S (Petrolease) or petroleum jelly spray
- Series production where multiple releases per application are required
How to use it
- Clean the mold thoroughly and make sure it is dry and free of dust, grease or residue from previous material.
- Shake the can well before use.
- Apply a uniform, thin coat of Stoner E313 to the mold surface, holding the spray approximately 20–30 cm away.
- Allow to dry completely until the film is uniform and no wet areas remain.
- If the mold is highly absorbent or this is the first application, apply a second coat after the first has dried.
- Pour or apply the epoxy resin or other molding material onto the treated mold.
- Once the material has cured, demold the part easily. The surface will be clean and ready for painting, plating or other finishes.
- Repeat the release agent application as needed for subsequent castings.
Usage tips
First application on new molds
On new or highly porous molds, it is recommended to apply two or three thin coats before the first casting, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly. This saturates the pores of the mold and ensures a clean release from the very first cycle. After that, a single application is usually sufficient for several consecutive castings.
Combination with Super-Cap plastic
When working with Super-Cap plastic, combine Stoner E313 with Stoner ME 301S (Petrolease) or petroleum jelly spray for the best results. This combination facilitates the sliding of the plastic and prevents it from sticking to the molded material.
Advantage over wax and polyvinyl alcohol
Unlike conventional wax or polyvinyl alcohol, Stoner E313 leaves no waxy residue on the part and does not create a barrier that hinders subsequent painting. If the goal is a part ready to decorate directly after demolding, this release agent is the most efficient option. Also check out the ACMOS 82-2405 wax release agent if your process does allow for waxy residue.
Frequently asked questions
How many releases can be obtained per application?
Stoner E313 is formulated to provide multiple releases per application. The exact number depends on the molded material, the complexity of the mold and the working temperature, but under normal conditions it is common to obtain between 3 and 6 releases before needing to reapply.
Is it compatible with all mold types?
Stoner E313 works especially well in fiberglass, polyurethane and epoxy molds. It is also compatible with plastic and metal surfaces. For silicone molds, check other release agents in the catalogue, such as Pol-Ease 2500.
Can I paint the part directly after demolding?
Yes. One of the main advantages of Stoner E313 is that it leaves the part ready to be painted, plated, hot stamped or bonded with adhesives without any additional cleaning. The film it leaves on the part does not interfere with the adhesion of paints or coatings.
Can it be used to demold polyurethane resins as well as epoxy?
Yes. Although specifically optimized for epoxy resins, Stoner E313 also delivers good results with polyurethane and other molded plastics and rubbers. It is a versatile release agent suitable for multiple casting and laminating materials.
How does it differ from a silicone release agent?
Silicone release agents, such as Molykote Separator Spray, leave a silicone layer that can interfere with adhesion and subsequent painting. Stoner E313 is specifically formulated as a paintable release agent, making it preferable when the part is to receive decorative finishes or adhesives.
How often should the release agent be reapplied?
In series production, it is recommended to reapply every 3–6 casting cycles, or when the demolding starts to require more effort or leaves residue in the mold. On new molds, apply 2–3 initial coats to ensure full impregnation.
Is it necessary to wear gloves or a mask when applying it?
As with any aerosol product, it is recommended to work in a well-ventilated space and wear nitrile gloves to avoid prolonged skin contact. Consult the product's safety data sheet for complete information on recommended PPE.
What is the difference between this product and petroleum jelly spray?
Petroleum jelly spray is a mineral-based release agent, useful for many general applications but which can leave oily residue on the part. Stoner E313 is specifically formulated for epoxy and materials that are to be painted or decorated, offering a cleaner film and a more professional finish.
