Cosclay Clay Softening Agent is a concentrated thinner for softening dry, uncured clay.
To reconstitute a half-pound block of stiff, uncured Cosclay (works best for Kickstarter clay), break the block into small pieces and place in a food processor.
Add 1 fullteaspoon of Cosclay softening agent and pulse until completely blended.
Remove the mixture from the food processor and let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the softening agent to absorb into the clay .
Begin kneading the clay by hand or with a pasta machine to condition.
Cosclay can become quite sticky when handled immediately after adding the softener. Please allow up to 24 hours for the stickiness to dissipate.
The tackiness can also be reduced immediately by lightly dusting with cornstarch as needed.
